Academic Adjustment and Learning Autonomy as Determinants of Perceived Quality of Life Among Sandwich Students in Tertiary Institutions in Osun State, Nigeria

Abstract
The study examined the significant relationship between academic adjustment, learning autonomy and perceived quality of life as well as assessed their joint and relative contributions on perceived quality of life among sandwich students. Result of Pearson’s correlations showed that there were significant relationships between academic adjustment and learning autonomy on perceived quality of life among sandwich students at 5% level of significance respectively. The regression analyses of the combined prediction of the two independent variables on the dependent variable showed a coefficient of correlations which confirmed that perceived quality of life correlated positively with the two predicting variables. The composite contribution of academic adjustment and learning autonomy jointly accounted for 4.1% of the variance in the perceived quality of life of sandwich students but there was no significant joint correlation. Further analysis showed that the positive reinforcement of perceived quality of life was determined by learning autonomy at as a more potent contributor followed by academic adjustment.
