Job Satisfaction of Employees of a Private Organization in Bangladesh

Abstract
The objective of the study is to identify the job satisfaction of employees of a firm which is known as Ajkerdeal.com, located at the Dhaka City of Bangladesh. This study is mainly based on primary data. Data were collected with the help of a prestructured questionnaire. The survey form was extracted from job satisfaction survey format which is available in the Woof Form Gallery and the survey form was included a five point Likert scale questionnaire containing six items namely salary, retirement benefits, time off, co-working, management and overall job satisfaction. Investigation was carried down in the five departments of head office of Ajkerdeal.com. Fifty employees by taking ten from each department were interviewed as per the convenience sampling procedure. The selections of head office of Ajkerdeal.com and five departments of head office of Ajkerdeal.com have been done for the convenience of the study in order to complete the study. Analysis was done through frequency, percentage, descriptive statistics and multiple regressions. Job satisfaction levels of all variables are found significant statistically. The study mentioned that salary, retirement benefit and time off have strong influence on overall level of job satisfaction. On the contrary, coworkers and management variables have hardly any impact on overall satisfaction of job. The study concludes that there is still enough space to extend the level of job satisfaction of the employees and also provided fewer recommendations for the better work environment of the organization.
