Abstract
The paper presents a novel type of electrodynamic transducer to project into the liquid environment. The transducer is free from the main imperfections of the classical-type electrodynamic transducers. It is constructed on the base of various types’ periodic magnetic structures and has not a single, but multiplicity gaps. The theory of such transducers is developed and an example of design and experimental results are presented. The analysis shows that at optimum design of the magnetic system it is possible to receive a significant prize in the radiating power and efficiency.
