Abstract
English class introduction is an important part of English class teaching procedure. Successful English class introduction has a great influence on improving students' interest in learning and thus improving the effectiveness of English teaching. However, in current English classes, many English teachers are not aware of the importance of English class introduction. Some English teachers don’t know how to apply the skills of English class introduction, though they have realized the importance of English class introduction. In order to make English classes more interesting and improve English teaching efficiency, this paper mainly focuses on the methods and techniques of English class introduction. Firstly, the paper briefs the introduction of English class, analyzing the necessities of English class introduction. Secondly, the paper puts forward two principles of English class introduction. Thirdly, the paper proposes several ways for English class introduction. Fourthly, the paper discusses the functions of English class introduction and the problems that should be paid attention to when teachers are applying introduction skills in English classes. The paper concludes that if English teachers keep in mind the consciousness of English class introduction and skillfully apply the methods and techniques of English class introduction, they can improve their English teaching level and ability and achieve twice the result with half the effort.
